This year’s top startups list from the professional networking platform LinkedIn has in total 5 names from the crypto space. Ripple ranks 7th on this list comprising 50 startups. Others included Robinhood (position 6), Consensys (position 26), Coinbase (position 3), and Gemini Trust Company (position 25).
The LinkedIn list describes Ripple as following:
“Finance, modernized: Sending money between banks, across borders, remains stubbornly antiquated. Ripple uses blockchain technology to transform what had been a multi-day process into one completed in seconds. The 6-year-old startup now has more than 100 customers, including massive banks such as Santander and Standard Chartered; it added two new customers a week last quarter.”
LinkedIn has also revealed that the San Francisco-based company’s global headcount is 250. LinkedIn says
“Ripple effect: While some blockchain companies are still “playing in the sandbox,” as Ripple tells LinkedIn, it’s focused on growth — it plans to hire another 75 people by year’s end.”
Ripple is only 6-years-old, and it’s already making quite some friends. Ripple has signed a partnership agreement with BeeTech, a Brazilian company which offers “financial solutions that integrate all processes originated in cross-border transactions.” Ripple continues to forge at least one partnership a week, as per the details revealed by its CEO Brad Garlinghouse.
With Ripple’s support, BeeTech will now have the capacity to facilitate instant funds transfer between Brazil and the rest of the world. XRP price is already feeling the effects of the new development, with the value scaling up by 3% within the last 24 hours.
